Patches Holler — Handwoven Wall Hanging in Meadow Green, Sky Blue & Rust

$79.00

A little landscape you can hang on your wall. Rolling bands of grass green, forest green, and heathered moss meet stretches of soft sky blue, with fluffy cream clouds drifting across the top. Pops of burnt orange twist through like autumn leaves, a nubby patch of sand-colored texture sits on the hillside, and a row of cream wool bubbles leads down to a full, knotted fringe of spring green.

It hangs from a natural branch, which makes it feel like it was gathered straight from the outdoors. Several weaving techniques come together here: soumak braids, roving twists and loops, knotted and textured stitches, color-block weaving, and a classic tabby weave holding it all in place.

Details

  • Size: 10.5-11 × 19 in (including fringe), on a 13 in natural branch

About the Maker
I learned to weave during my time in Appalachia. The traditions still shape how I work: slowly, by hand, with materials that have a story. Every piece I make carries a little of that mountain-life patience, with an added splash of New Orleans joie de vivre.

Looking for something a little different? I love making custom pieces. Email me with the size you’re thinking, colors you love, and a photo of the wall if you have one.
